Jesse Dean was born and raised in a green, rocky hollow a few miles from Winslow, Arkansas, in a house with a piano for every room, walls hung with guitars and banjos, and a tin roof for rainy-day percussion. His skill as a musician is homegrown. He got an early start, picking out tunes on the piano and mandolin as a toddler, and soon had the makings of a one-man band -- strings, drums, keys, vocals and the will to walk a long way. He learned by ear, brought up on bluegrass, gospel, soul, blues and rock, and the skill and stylings of his musician father, Keith Yingling. Dean will be joined in Springfield by Ozarks legend Mark Bilyeu of Big Smith. Together they create a blues-rock-kiss-of-folk magic.
Lucky Pickers is a high-energy Americana duo from Northern Illinois featuring Despina Pafralides of Fox Crossing Stringband and Caleb Peters of Miles Over Mountains. On this tour Lucky Pickers will be joined by the electric Sean Shiel, also of Miles Over Mountains.
