Transept - "The Tudors"
A glimpse into life and music in 16th-century England under epochal figures such as Henry VIII, Thomas Wolsey, Anne Boleyn, and Elizabeth I. Music and spoken narratives are interwoven, including sublime works by choirmasters/composers John Taverner, Thomas Tallis, and William Byrd and featuring beloved instruments of the period including lute and viola da gamba.
Our special guest for this performance is the University of South Dakota Concert Choir.
