Vocal Standard featuring GQ #micdrop

Vocal Standard, a 40-voice women's A Cappella group located in Kansas City is an up and coming group in the A Cappella and barbershop communities. Chartered in 2016, and Directed by Rob Mance, they sing songs from the old standards to contemporary tunes. These ladies pride themselves in setting a high "standard" for the music they love and work to share with others. They are women of all ages and professions coming together to form a group who loves a cappella music and wants it to thrive in their community.

GQ is a female barbershop and contemporary a cappella quartet based in Baltimore, MD. Since their start in July 2011, they won international competitions, performed their own arrangements of contemporary songs, and recorded two albums. GQ has a passion for being true to a sound that is uniquely their own, and to vocal music education for young singers. Each member of GQ is involved in music education and continue to pursue their own careers in the arts and education. They have traveled the U.S. and have performed in Canada and Germany. They have been featured on A Prairie Home Companion twice, and have made waves on the internet with a YouTube video reaching over 6.5 million hits.
