BROADWAYS NANCY OPEL WILL CONDUCT A FEARLESS VOICE 2 MASTER CLASS AT THE BARN PLAYERS NEW DOWNTOWN K.C. HOME
The Barn Players are privileged to again welcome celebrated Broadway actress Nancy Opel to their new downtown home, Saturday, April 28th, for both a morning musical masterclass and evening meet and greet after their production of Urinetown.
Nancy herself says, Do people always tell you how talented you are? You should consider participating in my master class Fearless Voice 2. Come learn techniques to banish nerves and stake your claim as a unique and bold performer. Dispel the myth of talent and discover how targeted practice can change your life! I teach a vocal warmup that is both time-effective and amazing for improving breath, support, and intonation. Did I mention that it is simple? When you are singing you want to focus on interpretation, not hitting the notes. Fearless Voice allows you that freedom!
Nancy is a Juilliard trained, Prairie Village, KS native and has appeared in the original New York productions of Evita (title role), Anything Goes, Sunday In The Park With George, Gypsy, The Toxic Avenger, Memphis, Wonderful, Cinderella, and most recently Curvy Widow. She was honored with a Tony nomination for her work in the original Broadway production of Urinetown.
Nancys Fearless Voice 2 will be held Saturday, April 28th from 9 a.m. to 12 noon in the Barn Players new home at The Arts Asylum. Participation costs $100 and $35 to audit / attend only. This class is intended for older teenagers and adults. Further information about Nancys techniques can be found at: www.nancyopel.com/fearless-voice.
Incidentally, Nancy will also attend the Barn Players revival production of Urinetown, Saturday night, April 28th, 7:30 p.m., and will be available for a meet and greet with our local cast after final curtain that evening.
The Barn Players at The Arts Asylum are located at 1000 East 9th Street, Kansas City, MO 64106. Barn Players information may be found at: thebarnplayers.org, or via phone at 913.432.9100.
