Hollywood Heritage and the Hollywood Foreign Press Association Present: Tarzan in the Movies
On Wednesday, February 14th, 2018 at 7:30PM - The Hollywood Foreign Press Association and Hollywood Heritage Inc. will present an Evening @ The Barn: Tarzan in the Movies.
Join us as Scott Tracy Griffin, Director of Special Projects Edgar Rice Burroughs, Inc. presents an evening dedicated to Tarzan (King of the Jungle) and the movies featuring this iconic hero.
Griffin is the author of Tarzan on Film and in this authoritative volume, he traces the development of the history-making Tarzan franchise, from the motion-picture industrys early silents and serials, through the high point of the Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer era featuring Johnny Weissmuller and Maureen OSullivan, to modern worldwide hits like "Greystoke: The Legend of Tarzan", "Lord of the Apes" and Walt Disney Studios animated "Tarzan".
The author will be signing books following the presentation, and we'll be offering our famous $1 raffle with a host of prizes to be won! So come and spend Valentine's Day at The Barn with Tarzan!
