Starring: Whiskey Darling
Whiskey Darling "The Town Drunk of Burlesque" Whiskey Darling has been performing with Peaks and Pasties for over 6.5 years. She has performed at the Colorado Burlesque Festival, The Southwest Burlesque Showcase, The Arizona Burlesque Festival as well as venues all over Colorado and New Mexico. Known as The Town Drunk of Burlesque, she "intoxicates" audiences with her unusual, comedic, creative and whiskey-fueled performances. She puts the ass in class and can drink anyone under the table. Featuring: Mayo Lua De French (Albuquerque, New Mexico)
Even as a child, Mayo spent a lot of energy trying to break out of the G-rated, family-friendly world of dance. She could not understand why it wasn't okay for an eleven year old to perform a chair dance. And while she loved taking classes and the opportunity to explore body movement, there wasn't always the creative freedom she craved.
Throughout her career, she has trained in ballet, tap, jazz, modern, hip hop, and Latin ballroom. Three years ago, while performing with VFDC modern dance company and Louisville Hip Hop Alliance, she discovered the VaVa Vixens Burlesque and Variety. Able to spread her wings as an adult artist and choreographer with the Vixens, she left the two dance companies to explore the world of burlesque.
