"The Last Five Years" and The Jason Robert Brown Songbook
"The Last Five Years" is a contemporary song-cycle musical that ingeniously chronicles the five year life of a marriage, from meeting to break-up... or from break-up to meeting, depending on how you look at it. Written by Jason Robert Brown (Parade, Songs for a New World, 13), "The Last Five Years" is an intensely personal look at the relationship between a writer and an actress told from both points of view. The Saturday night, August 13, event will include dinner provided by RJ's Bob-Be-Que, Runza, Alter Ego and Rimann's Liquor as well as a silent auction. Saturday night tickets are $20 in advance and $25 at the door, which will open at 6:00 p.m.
Some of the auction items include: Hand-crafted jewelry, a dozen roses from Roses Only, a self-defense class, a chiropractic session, a walk-on part in an upcoming Barn show, tickets tolots of local events, an engraved quartz clock from Regal Awards, sports items, a velvet and mink scarf from Alaskan Fur and much, much more!
